Every designer works differently so here is a breakdown of my services and how I work.
Consultation | This includes a home visit and walk-through of your rooms to take measurements, photos and discuss your needs/budget and overall design goals. The entire process takes around 2 hours. My consultation fee is credited towards my design fee should we decide to move forward.
Setting the Mood | I create a mood board(s) and sketches with recommended color palette, materials, textiles, lighting, furniture pieces, and a basic floor plan. I do detailed research to find the exact products that will fit both the design and budget.
3D Modeling | I generate 3D photo realistic images so you can see what your designs will look like in real life. This is an invaluable tool as it leaves very little room for guesswork.
Construction Documents | This applies mainly to kitchen and bath remodels. I produce construction documents including plans and elevations so that your contractor(s) know exactly what to do. Our drawings can be used to submit for permitting, but you will need to hire a structural engineer if you are planning on moving walls.
Shopping and Ordering | I provide a comprehensive shopping list of all the products I recommend. It will include pricing, specifications for color/size/material, quantity, as well as alternative options for certain items. We offer complimentary shopping services if you prefer that we do the ordering. We use our company card to do the purchasing and we require payment upfront before we make the order. However, any returns after a product has been approved and purchased will incur an hourly fee along with any relevant return/restocking fees.
Installation | This is an optional service.
Installation is billed hourly and includes furniture assembly/arrangement, staging, soft installations like window treatments/lights, light painting and hanging art. It also covers any on-site travel I have to do.
Final Touch | Once the project is complete or nearing completion, I will purchase staging items and decor for your home. This also will be a photoshoot day. Any items you would like to keep will be billed to you.
